Bishkek City University (BCU) is an independent institution of higher education located in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. Since its establishment in 2009, the university has focused on applied science, international studies, business, and technology education, with an emphasis on practical skills and international engagement.
Mission
Our mission is to prepare graduates for meaningful professional careers in an interconnected region. We pursue this through rigorous, practice-oriented teaching, applied research, and partnerships with employers and institutions across Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and beyond.
Our approach
BCU keeps a compact and supportive campus where students work closely with faculty. Programs are designed around clear professional outcomes, combining classroom learning with laboratory work, field projects, and internships. Most programs are taught in English to support an international student body.
